Discussion:
Free premium ad in exchange for simply posting an ad

I have started my classifieds website Lodist (http://lodist.com) and
have barely enough ads which means a small amount of ads and maximum
exposure. I would like to offer an invitation to post premium ads (that
is ads that get shown on the home-page and are red, bigger and bolder
through browsing) to all those people are looking to use classifieds
(besides spam and illegal stuff). Why? For more ads and more interest
in my website. I have made this promotion simply to help my website
start up.

How to get a premium ad:
*Signup for an account
*When posting select the premium ad and the referrer as
"specialoffer"
*Once you confirm your email, you have your ad!

Cheers

I will NOT give out any information to anyone else or use it for
nothing. In order for the ad to be posted, the user needs to specify an
email that they have access to or use it for your ad to verify and make
sure people can contact you.

I followed the rules explicitly... never got the "activate" email and never
saw my ad posted. It was a complete waste of my time, and I don't think my
time is worthless...

What else am I to believe?

Not to kick you while you're down, Dennis, but why would you post an ad
there anyway? What does he have like eight or nine ads posted? Geez -- isn't
craigslist good enough? It cracks me up that about every three or four
months someone suddenly has a lightbulb pop on in their head and decides to
build a site where people can post things for sale. GENIUS!! And next I'll
create a site where people can hold auctions to sell things!! That's never
been done before either!! I'll make millions!! And then when I'm done with
that I'll create a site that lets you search for information on the web!!
I'll call it a search engine!! Where do I come up with this stuff??! OH!! --
OH!! I have another one!! How about a site that has links to current news
articles from various sources!! LOL

Why would anyone pay to place an ad when there's dfw.forsale? I don't
think I've ever failed to sell anything I wanted to get rid of here.

Nigel

Sorry, guys I am just trying to make an offer for people that is worth
there value. If you don't want to post ads, don't. I am just trying to
get my website up and running.
Dennis: When you posted your ad, did you make sure all the fields were
filled in?
Sorry to waste your time people. Hope you can forgive me.
